Holding my heart in my both hands I lied in a niche of my room until I was aroused by the phone tinkling; to my astonishment, it was she who was there on the other end, her voice sounding like sweet music to my ears; but the sound of music became a shriek when she finally told me that she was getting on her last voyage to eternity and had called me just to see me once and for all; 'pray, hold the time', said I and rushed to her; but, the time had rushed faster than me, even she had already run out of time; heaving her last breath, she was gone! gone forever never to return ! and now I had no reason to doubt her words that had sounded to me like excuses she had definitely by her words, preoccupied for ever, she indeed had no time for me !
